Are you a dedicated and organized individual with a passion for providing administrative support in a vibrant and caring community? We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Office Administrator to join our team at the North Pine Anglican Church in Petrie.

Position Title: Office Administrator

Location: North Pine Anglican Church, Petrie

Employment Status: Part-Time 20 hours

Reports To: Parish Rector

Direct Reports: None

Key Responsibilities:

As our Office Administrator, you will play a crucial role in coordinating the parish office and supporting the smooth functioning of our parish. Key responsibilities include:

Responding to queries in a timely and professional manner

Providing general administrative services, including photocopying, filing, and data entry

Managing the parish telephone system and preparing relevant documents and correspondence

Assisting with the preparation and distribution of weekly E-News and Pew Bulletin

Maintaining records for weddings, baptisms, and funerals

Managing the church calendar and database for events

Organizing service rosters and liaising with event attendees

Providing administrative support for meetings, including agenda preparation

Managing volunteer reception teams and overseeing Professional Standards compliance

Assisting with reporting and forms related to Work Health and Safety

Troubleshooting IT issues and managing the parish website and social media platforms

Ordering and maintaining supplies, as well as participating in training opportunities

Position Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

Current National Police Certificate and Working with Children Blue Card

Current Queensland Driver’s License

Relevant business qualifications and/or administrative experience

Key Selection Criteria:

We are looking for someone with:

Demonstrated experience in administrative and reception duties

High computer literacy, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and ability to learn new systems

Strong oral and written communication skills, including interpersonal skills

Exceptional organizational ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Ability to work autonomously, problem-solving, and using initiative

Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
